We’ve got the latest updates on Joann Stores’ Closing.
Last month Joann announced it would be closing some of its stores, but it seems there is no escape a year after filing for bankruptcy. Joann is officially closing ALL of its 790+ locations nationwide.
The GA Group, together with the Prepetition Term Loan Agent, will acquire Joann’s assets and has already begun going out of business sales at all locations.
We are not seeing huge price drops in our stores yet, and some products are still only 10% off. Most items are around 30-40% off, with some fabric being marked down to 60% off. Christmas items are only 80% off, while other stores already had Christmas for 90% off back in January.
We’ll keep checking and update you once we see the discounts increase in stores.
What prices are you seeing items marked down to at your local Joann’s?
What does Joann’s stores closing mean for shoppers?
- Significant discounts on a wide assortment of crafting, sewing, and home décor products storewide. All sales are final during the closing sales event.
- All furniture, fixtures, and equipment are also available for purchase.
- Effective immediately, returns and gift cards will no longer be accepted.
- Due to high demand, online orders can no longer be placed.
When does Joann’s going-out-of-business sale end?
The going-out-of-business sale is expected to last for approximately 12 weeks, until the end of May or until supplies last. So, if you’re considering stocking up on fabrics, yarn, and other crafting materials or decor, the sooner you can shop, the better. Shelves have already been picked through in many locations.
